About Us....
Animal Outreach of the Mother Lode
Provide community service for animals in need through low-cost spay and neuter and vaccination services to help eliminate pet overpopulation and euthanasia of adoptable animals.

Provide a safe and caring haven for our shelter animals until adopted.

Provide, through education and training, responsible pet ownership.

Provide a fiscally-responsible organization so that the funding available benefits as many animals as possible.

We are a NO-KILL shelter.

Animal Outreach Saves Lives.  2018 marks our 26th year in the community saving the lives of animals.  In 2012 Animal Oureach reduced the number of unwanted pets in overburdened area animal shelters by:

Adopting over 3000 pets into new homes
Providing low-cost spay/neuter or vaccination services to over 10,000 cats and dogs.

We placed 3rd Nationwide in the 2012 ASPCA $100K Challenge to Save More Lives.  During the three month contest period we tripled our adoptions rehoming 1731 dogs and cats.

Animal Outreach of the Mother Lode reduces euthanasia in overburdened municipal shelters by rehoming over 2,500 cats and dogs annually and providing low or no cost spay/neuter surgeries or vaccinations to over 10,000 pets.

We take animals in danger of euthanasia at other Northern California shelters and give them love, care, and medical treatment, and then find them loving forever homes.

We do not take in stray animals. El Dorado County residents should contact Animal Services regarding found animals. 530-621-5795.

Our resources are limited to pay for the necessary vaccinations, antibiotics, spay/neuter surgeries, etc. We can only save as many cats as we have resources. With support from our fellow animal lovers, we can afford to save more lives. Rest assured Animal Outreach continues their reputation of saving the most lives with the least amount of resources. Your contributions are never misused and always needed..

Support Animal Outreach by Donating, Adopting, and Volunteering. You are saving lives.

In addition to cat/kitten adoptions at the Diamond Springs Adoption Center, we are at the Petsmarts in Rancho Cordova, Citrus Heights & Folsom.

Animal Outreach operates a Low Cost To All Spay/Neuter (appt needed M-F) & Walk in Vaccination Clinic (Th/F 9-1) in Diamond Springs, CA.

Please use the Memo or Special Instructions section after you initiate your Razoo Donation to indicate any dedication or specific use of your gift. Thank you.
