The Animal Outreach Board of Directors is a dedicated group of community members who provide leadership, guidance, and strategic direction to support the organization’s mission. Board members help ensure that Animal Outreach continues to serve animals and people throughout El Dorado, Sacramento, and Placer Counties with impact and integrity.
Board members are expected to:
- Be a resident of El Dorado, Sacramento, or Placer County
- Be willing to devote 1-2 hours per week to the organization
- Actively participate in strategic planning and be an active member of at least one committee
- Attend a minimum of four full board meetings per year, along with relevant committee meetings (typically held virtually)
- Adhere to Animal Outreach’s code of conduct
- Publicly support and advocate for Animal Outreach’s work in the community
The Board oversees several committees that focus on key areas of the organization’s operations. Each committee is led by a board member and may include participation from staff and volunteers. Board members are encouraged to engage in committees that align with their interests and may serve on more than one as their availability allows.
In addition, Animal Outreach is supported by an Advisory Committee composed of community leaders, partner organizations, and individuals with specialized expertise who provide valuable insight and guidance to further strengthen the organization’s impact.
