We are proud to share an important milestone for Animal Outreach of the Mother Lode: we have officially purchased a new building at
6048 Enterprise Drive, Diamond Springs, CA 95619, just one block from our current location.
The new 11,100-square-foot facility will allow Animal Outreach to significantly expand our capacity to serve animals and families throughout El Dorado County and the surrounding foothill communities. This larger space will provide room for additional exam rooms, expanded surgical and dental treatment areas, improved recovery and housing space for rescued animals, and a more welcoming environment for clients and adopters.
Remodel work is scheduled to begin in May, with an anticipated opening in early 2027. The renovation will transform the building into a modern, efficient veterinary and rescue facility designed to meet the growing needs of our community for years to come.
Renderings will be shared soon.

We were called to help a neighborhood with four stray cats — three females and one male — cared for by kind residents who worried the females might be pregnant. Before we could trap them, the cats gave birth in a large pile of rocks in an empty lot.
Animal Outreach set up cameras to monitor the moms and kittens, ensuring they stayed safe until they were old enough for rescue. Over the next few weeks, our team patiently trapped all four adults and 15 kittens! One tiny kitten had been attacked by a predator and suffered a severe wound — without quick care, it wouldn’t have survived. Thanks to our volunteers and veterinarians, that little one healed and now lives happily in a safe, loving home.
All 15 kittens received medical care, vaccinations, and spay/neuter surgery before being adopted into wonderful families. The four adult cats were also fixed and returned to their neighborhood, where they are now healthy, cared for, and loved by the people who first reached out for help.
This rescue was only possible because of the kindness and support of people like you. Your donations give us the ability to respond when animals need us most — turning fear into comfort, and struggle into second chances.
